Experience & Interests

Yes, as most who get into this field, I love food! But my greatest loves are Jesus Christ who saved my soul and sanity, my precious husband, my family, and helping Christians who struggle with a difficult relationship to food, eating, and their own bodies. Oh, and did I mention…I love food?

I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist located in the Tampa Bay area of Florida with an online telehealth practice. I am licensed in the states of Florida and Rhode Island for medical nutrition therapy (disease-related care) and can see patients from anywhere for general nutrition therapy virtually.

Even more precious to me, I am certified as a biblical counselor from the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). This endeavor has been my great passion for close to a decade and undergirds my entire practice.

I completed over 1200 hours of supervised practice in nutrition and dietetics at the James A. Haley VA Hospital. During this internship, I had the opportunity to co-develop the nation’s first male veteran Intuitive Eating program curriculum through the VA. I practiced in an outpatient clinic as well as in many clinical fields, including diabetes, kidney disease, traumatic brain injury, polytrauma, general surgery, geriatrics, and ICU. Best of all, I was blessed to have the opportunity to serve our veterans!

I was honored to graduate summa cum laude for both my BS in Food and Nutrition from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!) and my BS in Interdisciplinary Studies: Area of study in Counseling from Liberty University.

I have experience in program development, research analysis, and ministry leadership – all of which have helped me create the Satisfied! Christian Path to Food Freedom program. This is an evidence-based comprehensive program that helps those living with physical, mental, and spiritual issues concerning dieting, weight cycling, body shame, and eating from a biblical and whole-person perspective.

I am pleased to have you visit this website and hope you find many resources to help you on your journey toward a lifetime of spiritual, soul, and body health!

It is important to work with someone trained to overcome barriers and individualize a method that will work best for you. If you are a Christian, it is also imperative that you work with someone dedicated to applying biblical truth, which is powerful for real change and has the deepest and most lasting impact!
